Questions About The Elms Hotel and Spa

What’s included with my spa service?

All spa services include up to two hours of complimentary access to The Grotto, as well as access to the outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, lap pool, and soaking tubs on the day of your visit. Enjoy a variety of relaxation spaces throughout your spa day.

How early should I arrive?

We encourage guests to begin their spa experience in The Grotto up to two hours prior to their scheduled treatment whenever possible. This allows your body to fully relax and prepare for your service. At a minimum, we ask that guests arrive at least 60 minutes before their appointment to allow enough time to check in, change, and make it to the treatment room on time.

Can I access The Grotto without a treatment?

A limited number of same‑day Grotto passes may be available; however, booking a spa service guarantees access and is the best way to ensure availability during peak times.

Do you offer prenatal services?

Yes. We provide specially designed prenatal‑safe massages and facials during the second and third trimesters, pending approval from your healthcare provider. Our therapists take great care to ensure proper comfort and support.

Is gratuity included?

A  21% service charge is added at checkout, with 15% going directly to your service provider.

What is the age requirement for the spa and Grotto?

The Grotto are reserved for guests 18 years of age and older to maintain a serene and adult‑focused environment.

Guests 16 and 17 years old may receive facial and nail treatments; however, they do not have access to The Grotto. These guests may enjoy the outdoor pools and indoor soaking tub as part of their spa day. A parent or legal guardian must be present for any guest under the age of 18.

What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice when adjusting or canceling a single service, and 48 hours’ notice for multiple services or spa packages. For groups of six or more, we require changes to be made at least two weeks in advance. Appointments modified outside these timeframes may be subject to the full charge.

Do you offer food or beverages?

Complimentary infused water and light, nourishing snacks are available in the relaxation lounge for all spa guests. Groups and VIP Lounge reservations may pre‑order enhanced food and beverage options.

For guests wishing to enjoy a larger meal or a quick refreshment before or after their treatments, you are welcome to savor a quick bite at Café Soterian or enjoy a full dining experience in The Three Owls Restaurant, both located within The Elms Hotel & Spa.

What are the quiet space guidelines for The Grotto?

The Grotto is designed as a deeply tranquil healing environment, and we ask all guests to help preserve the calm atmosphere. Because the space is intimate and intended for quiet restoration, we kindly request soft, whisper level voices and that phones, photography, and active conversations be avoided.

Guests who wish to talk, socialize, or enjoy more lively conversation are warmly encouraged to use the outdoor pool areas, the lap pool, or other open spaces throughout the property. These areas provide a more suitable environment for gathering without disrupting the stillness within The Grotto.

By keeping this space peaceful and minimizing noise, we ensure that every guest can fully relax, unwind, and experience the restorative benefits of the thermal circuit.

Do I need to remove gel, acrylic, or dip polish before my Natural Nail Lounge appointment?

Yes. The Natural Nail Lounge specializes in natural nail care, and we are unable to remove gel, acrylic, or dip enhancements during your service. All artificial nail products must be fully removed prior to your appointment. Arriving with any remaining enhancements may require the appointment to be canceled, and the full service charge may apply.

What is the checkout and payment process at the end of my spa visit?

Before leaving the spa, we kindly ask all guests to check out with our reception team to confirm services and complete payment. Please have your preferred form of payment ready at that time. If a guest departs without checking out to finalize payment, a default charge, including the standard 21% service charge will be automatically applied to the card used to reserve the appointment.

How are charges handled if I book appointments for others?

All treatments booked under your reservation are linked to the card used to secure the appointments. If members of your party do not check out with reception at the end of their visit, the full charges for their services will automatically be applied to the card on file for the primary reservation holder.
